EVA Hot Melt Film for Footwear & Lamination UF-1200
UF-1200 is a translucent milky-white ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) hot melt adhesive film for low-temperature bonding of shoe materials, fabrics and foams. With a softening range of just 70–80 °C and activation at 110–140 °C, it flows quickly under a flat press or roller laminator, wets leather, synthetic leather, textiles and EVA foam evenly, and sets into a soft, flexible bond that keeps the hand feel of the laminate unchanged.
Because the film is a 100% solid thermoplastic, there is no solvent, no water and no odour in the workshop, and the bond line stays thin and uniform — a clean replacement for spray glues and liquid adhesives in insole lamination, upper stiffening and fabric-to-fabric lamination. Thickness is available from 0.03 to 0.30 mm, with or without glassine release paper, and every parameter can be tuned to your process.
Key Features
- Low activation temperature — melts at 70–80 °C (DSC) and bonds at 110–140 °C, gentle enough for heat-sensitive EVA foam, PU leather and technical textiles
- Soft, comfortable hand feel — the EVA matrix stays flexible after bonding, ideal for insoles, uppers and apparel laminates that sit against the body
- Broad substrate compatibility — strong adhesion to genuine leather, PU/PVC leather, cotton and polyester fabrics, EVA foam, non-wovens, paper and wood
- Odourless and environmentally friendly — 100% solids, solvent-free formulation; no VOC concerns for workers or finished products
- Uniform, controlled bond line — cast film with even gauge from 0.03 mm upward; no glue penetration, no squeeze-out, no mess on rollers
- Fast processing — 5–15 s dwell under 0.3–0.6 MPa keeps lamination lines productive
- Made to your dimensions — thickness 0.03–0.30 mm, width 1000–1500 mm, rolls of 100–400 yards, with or without release liner

FAQ
What is the difference between UF-1200 and the TPU film UT-1007?
UF-1200 is EVA-based with a much lower melting point (70–80 °C) and a softer, more flexible bond, making it the choice for EVA foam, insoles and heat-sensitive fabrics. UT-1007 is TPU-based with higher strength, wash resistance and heat resistance, better for garments that must survive repeated washing. Choose UF-1200 for softness and low-temperature processing, UT-1007 for durability and laundering.
Do I need release paper?
It depends on your process. Linerless film suits roller lamination and high-volume automated lines, while the glassine release liner version is easier to cut, position and store for hand lay-up or die-cut parts — and it also prevents blocking in the roll. Both versions are available on request.
Which materials does UF-1200 bond best?
EVA foam, genuine and synthetic leather (PU/PVC), cotton and polyester fabrics, non-wovens, paper, wood and many plastics. For very slippery or highly plasticised surfaces we recommend a trial pressing — samples are available on request.
Is the film safe for products worn against the skin?
Yes. UF-1200 is a solvent-free, odourless EVA system with no added solvents or plasticiser migration, suitable for insoles, footwear and apparel laminates. Compliance documents (SGS/REACH) are available for your audit.
Can thickness and width be customised?
Yes. Standard gauges run 0.05–0.15 mm within a 0.03–0.30 mm range, widths from 1000 to 1500 mm, and roll lengths of 100–400 yards. Tell us your press or laminator setup and we will match the film to it.
